He sang of his ex girlfriend.
And once the story
Had cleared the air
And guitar riffs drifted away
I stood there with an
Expressionless face
And he asked if I was okay
He's hazy from downing
A whole bottle of wine
Intended for sharing
At last dinner time
But we didn't sit
At a table for two
Instead we were standing
On either side of the room
This it seems
Is a tango for one
Plus his Depression
And his wine-drunk love
And the distance between us
Never felt so far
As when he serenaded me
With his ex-lover's guitar
