A hundred days in May
And you flew a hundred miles
Just to get away.
Maybe there are miles between
But we both know where we've been.
Peel back the screen,
Open the window.
Let air revive our hollow lungs.
Soothe passion's fever in the wind,
Let life caress our sweaty skin.
Scream at the skies,
As they dim
In our eyes
Stare far and wide;
See the world begin.
Breathing youth,
I feel like a kid.
Forever and a day-
Let the games begin.

Black Road Map
Black road map
Tells the reader where he went,
Who he kissed,
Who he lied to,
What he never really meant.
Black road map,
Stretching uneven over hills and crevices.
To the left you'd see a smile,
Now it's paved.
Amazing how the most beautiful things,
Go unnoticed until they're gone.
Moonlight fades
Heed way to a soggy dawn.
Allow the black road map to turn red,
Leaving scars and potholes.
Caution,
The bridge is out ahead.
The road map takes you
To an untimely death.
Tells the reader where he went,
Who he kissed,
Who he lied to,
What he never really meant.
Black road map,
Stretching uneven over hills and crevices.
To the left you'd see a smile,
Now it's paved.
Amazing how the most beautiful things,
Go unnoticed until they're gone.
Moonlight fades
Heed way to a soggy dawn.
Allow the black road map to turn red,
Leaving scars and potholes.
Caution,
The bridge is out ahead.
The road map takes you
To an untimely death.
Enchanted
Spinning gracefully,
Sparkling magically,
Watching scornfully
Because she's not me.
Fly away,
A sea of white chiffon.
Teeth glimmering with clouded judgement,
Skies clouded with tears.
Fly away like all the others,
As if it hasn't been done before.
Here we go again.
Sparkling magically,
Watching scornfully
Because she's not me.
Fly away,
A sea of white chiffon.
Teeth glimmering with clouded judgement,
Skies clouded with tears.
Fly away like all the others,
As if it hasn't been done before.
Here we go again.
