Alot has changed between us.
Had the events of today
Occurred a year ago
I'm sure we'd be okay.
But now things are different,
I no longer show sympathy.
I cannot question our past,
For indeed; i loved you.
But today, that is not true.
When a year ago i'd give an arm for you,
Today i'd hardly give you the time of day.
But perhaps we're better off that way.

Rhymes with Cliché
Concealed behind my lies,
They weren’t my plans,
They were my disguise
Exploited to avoid my hearts’ desire.
Skepticism beyond my soul;
Trusting you proves problematic
While allowing truth to navigate the threshold,
Something strained becomes automatic.
If I don’t have your view
Will I ever gain your heart?
When my mind only desires you,
How could we ever be apart?
A love note; so cliché,
Simply seeing you could make my day.

Savages In Suits
Some people cease to remember
That all people are humans
And they should not be judged.
In the place where I was raised,
Savages wore suits
For each creature could tear down
The walls that others must build,
In order to avoid these beasts.
I've seen a man
Cry for the sake of another man.
Does that make him less human?
I've seen a girl,
No older than thirteen,
Cry for the sake
Of being lost without a partner
And being torn for being herself.
I've seen savages
Sauntering over the threshold
To buy a prop,
A disgusting guise
To hide their disgusting lies.
To spend a thousand dollars
On a cloak,
A shining cloak
To hide the inside,
And spew shame to all that dont wear the same.
Could those who are cloaked
In thousand dollar disguises
Really be less beastly
Then those humans
Who show their face
And wear it proud
With a sack wrapped around them?
The warmth of a thousand fur coats
Each made of a different beast
Could warm a human for a lifetime.
Remove the beastly human guise,
Warmth will soon follow
In the hearts of all strong enough
To travel through life
Unadorned.
That all people are humans
And they should not be judged.
In the place where I was raised,
Savages wore suits
For each creature could tear down
The walls that others must build,
In order to avoid these beasts.
I've seen a man
Cry for the sake of another man.
Does that make him less human?

Closer To Love
It takes the breath from within my chest,
You engulf me in each kiss,
Suspended in all time we spend
In eachothers company
The care and comfort in your arms,
The warmth within my chest.
Every kiss
And every touch
Brings us closer to love.
You engulf me in each kiss,
Suspended in all time we spend
In eachothers company
The care and comfort in your arms,
The warmth within my chest.
Every kiss
And every touch
Brings us closer to love.
