The Hearts of the Kingdom

A scrap of metal,
As fake as you.
Did you lie about this one too?
Just a way to make my day,
So you could sneak into a frozen lay?
I wish you'd disappear forever,
So i could never see your smile again.
Go somewhere there is no weather,
Somewhere it burns all the time.
And with a flush i say goodbye
To the start of every single lie.

Slain

Only a promise to maintain
He'll smile at the injuries you sustain.
Should you give him that pleasure?
He'll boast about your pain.

Is hurting so much
Really any gain?
All of your fighting is simply in vain.
Are you defending yourself,
Or the girl who caused you so much pain?
You cowered under her,
You adhered to her reign
The emotions behind it,
A feeling you could never explain.

No matter how hard i try,
I could never restrain.
You're willing to fight;
Pour liquid from the vein.
But I'll be there in the end,
To clean the bloodstain.
And in my arms,
You shall always remain.
Safe and sound
But always in vain.

Violence of a Lifetime

This is the climax of my story.
As a single tear is shed
From the eye of our main character.
Blood spills from the sides of the tub,
Submerged in woes and regrets long forsaken.
Our protagonist dies
As the antagonist is lost from her eyes.

You can try to read between the lines.
The search is futile.
The reason was simple,
She was sick of living like she was dead.
She was sick of constantly dying.

Blood is shed
On the battle field of her bathroom floor.
"I've been dead since age 11,
But you're the reason my heart stopped beating."

(sorry, this is really dark, it just reminded me of the things people who I am close to have to deal with)

The Losing Game

Stop screaming it,
Stop telling me you don't care.
I know its the truth,
But it's too much to bare.

I'll live through each day
Knowing I lost you
And I know you'll never pay
For each lie that sounded so true.

A Weak Subject to Stumble Upon

I'm not in love
You don't own my heart.
I once was,
But now I'm not.
You don't have to leave me,
I already have.

Maybe my shadow
Has walked away
And followed you.
But if i turn out the lights
That won't affect me in the slightest.

You never realized how much i meant,
I was there for your beckon and call.
Now that I'm gone,
You'll sit back and watch yourself fall.
If I'm not there to keep you out of harms way,
What will you become?
I was strong to leave,
And you were weak to watch me walk away.

Static Stats

I cant bare to sit alone.
I am not lonely.
I am afraid.
I can't stand being in proximity of my thoughts.
They are within me.
I cant escape them.
Every silence reminds me of it.
Stop these thoughts.
Antagonistic, free me.
Watch my hands shake.
There's something wrong with me.
But i know they'd say
 I'm just another statistic.

My Mind is the Muse

Some say veterans fought for my freedom.
A war wages within me every day.
Where is my medal?
Purple hearts for I've been wounded.
Thoughts are prison bars.
I'm confined in the loudest silence.
