"If I'm lucky...I won't cry."
She types through her tears as she waves goodbye.
I try my best to hide my face,
Twisted into a distorted place.
All she can hear is the boom of the bass;
All she can feel is his heart race.
Can't we stay here,
Just for a little while?
Please?
She tries to hide the whimpers of her tears,
But the pain seeps through the green cracks
And the unwanted noise enters her ears.
I'm so lucky you didn't see me cry...
I never thought forever could be in the form of a guy.
I know i'll see you again;
My only question is
When?
I know i'll run out of tears eventually,
But when?
Some things you can never put a timer on.
Some things just keep going strong.
You'd tell me if this was wrong;
But it's so right.
It's with you;
Where I belong.
One weekend,
No white horse required.
Some things go stale;
This will never expire.
I keep telling myself that there's no room for emptiness in my heart;
It's too filled with your love..
So why can't I rid myself of this empty feeling.
I can't ditch this pain in my chest;
It came as soon as you left.
A heart that sings
Hurts at every downbeat.
We pulled away from your door;
Never a tale of forgotten lore.
I'll love you forever
And even more.
Forever never ends;
That I can ensure.
"if I'm lucky...you'll be my girlfriend"
Never stopping:: without end.

The Happy Killer
I can't stand this.
My mind is so conflicting
With every word I read.
Why does it still hurt,
When you say you're glad you left me?
Why do I feel dead,
When you said you did the right thing?
Your words still have the power to kill,
But you don't mind seeing me die.
As long as you're now watching me,
You know that you will.
You were once a gentle giant,
You were so sweet.
Now every time we talk,
All you do is kill me.
My mind is so conflicting
With every word I read.
Why does it still hurt,
When you say you're glad you left me?
Why do I feel dead,
When you said you did the right thing?
Your words still have the power to kill,
But you don't mind seeing me die.
As long as you're now watching me,
You know that you will.
You were once a gentle giant,
You were so sweet.
Now every time we talk,
All you do is kill me.

Natural Beauty
Beautiful and billowing,
Constantly falling,
Infinitely
As one droplet strays;
Beauty falls from a porcelain face.
The drop evaporates,
But the beauty stays.
Take this handkerchief,
Just in case.
And don't be afraid;
If you find yourself drowning,
I'll always keep you safe.
Constantly falling,
Infinitely
As one droplet strays;
Beauty falls from a porcelain face.
The drop evaporates,
But the beauty stays.
Take this handkerchief,
Just in case.
And don't be afraid;
If you find yourself drowning,
I'll always keep you safe.

Fading Photographs
I recall those nights we spent together,
Holding each other close.
They say you'll only remember the bad times,
When the moments pass,
And the feelings fade
Why is it, then
That I recall those wonderful times.
Those days we spent acting like kids,
Acting the roles of us.
Pretending to be everything we are;
Everything we could ever be.
I wish I could just hit delete
On every picture,
On every memory.
I never thought I'd regret wearing that smile you gave me,
But it mocks me in each picture I see.
I remember when you were modest;
Handsome and recognizable.
Who have you become?
It's no longer like we've separated.
You've died and gone somewhere I'll see you each day.
You're dead,
Get out of my way.
Just leave me alone.
Just me and my heartache.
Holding each other close.
They say you'll only remember the bad times,
When the moments pass,
And the feelings fade
Why is it, then
That I recall those wonderful times.
Those days we spent acting like kids,

The Only
Its no longer about winning or losing.
It's about surviving
In a world where you're alone.
In this world where everyone's against you.
Proven paranoia,
Provoked by trust,
Ensued by fear.
These are the people I loved.
They turned quickly.
Had my surroundings matched my mind,
A black abiss
And I'm alone;
If only.
Had my surroundings matched my eyes,
A hateful world,
And I'm lonely;
If only.
Fully submerged and I am walking.
A fire starts below the surface.
Sand cracked between clenched teeth,
And someone's going to die.
I'm all alone and on fire.
It's about surviving
In a world where you're alone.
In this world where everyone's against you.
Proven paranoia,
Provoked by trust,
Ensued by fear.
These are the people I loved.
They turned quickly.

And someone's going to die.
I'm all alone and on fire.

Appreciation of the Past Only in the Present
For a few minutes the whole world is in mourning,
Remembering the life of a man who inspired a revolution.
The man who left a mark.
The man who left.
For only moments the world stands still.
The shock hits the country and pulses through our veins.
Maybe you've moved on,
But your legacy remains.
A noble man of superior innovation,
You redefined the way we do the simplest things,
You redefined a nation.
In each hand we hold your work,
Your legacy lives on with each logo.
You've completely changed our world.
Love it while you've got it;
Tomorrow it could be gone.
Remembering the life of a man who inspired a revolution.
The man who left a mark.
The man who left.
For only moments the world stands still.
The shock hits the country and pulses through our veins.

To the Girl Who Went Back
I'd never let you close enough to smell me,
And I've dropped the ways of my past.
I've moved from drama; that's so petty.
I'm working only to be my best.
Sure I've done things which I regret,
But living in the past is just so last year.
I've exceded the empty threat.
All you've said, so insincere.
You say I've mistreated many,
But you're still breaking people down.
How ironic that you'd accuse me,
When you're still messing around.
You once said I was beautiful,
Do you remeber that?
And you turned around simply to say,
She's ugly, slutty and fat.
Mentally unstable,
Maybe I'm just rude?
Two faced, or a liar
Or a nasty combonation of the two.
If you're spending your life on fire,
Maybe these words won't burn you?
And I've dropped the ways of my past.
I've moved from drama; that's so petty.
I'm working only to be my best.
Sure I've done things which I regret,
