Fourth Story Windowsill

A hundred days in May
And you flew a hundred miles
Just to get away.

Maybe there are miles between
But we both know where we've been.
Peel back the screen,
Open the window.
Let air revive our hollow lungs.

Soothe passion's fever in the wind,
Let life caress our sweaty skin.

Scream at the skies,
As they dim
In our eyes

Stare far and wide;
See the world begin.

Breathing youth,
I feel like a kid.

Forever and a day-
Let the games begin.

Black Road Map

Black road map
Tells the reader where he went,
Who he kissed,
Who he lied to,
What he never really meant.

Black road map,
Stretching uneven over hills and crevices.
To the left you'd see a smile,
Now it's paved.

Amazing how the most beautiful things,
Go unnoticed until they're gone.

Moonlight fades
Heed way to a soggy dawn.

Allow the black road map to turn red,
Leaving scars and potholes.

Caution,
The bridge is out ahead.
The road map takes you
To an untimely death.

Enchanted

Spinning gracefully,
Sparkling magically,
Watching scornfully
Because she's not me.

Fly away,
A sea of white chiffon.
Teeth glimmering with clouded judgement,
Skies clouded with tears.

Fly away like all the others,
As if it hasn't been done before.
Here we go again.

Flier

It doesn't feel the same
When I'm crying myself to sleep.
All I think about is pain
And what's inside of me.
It's driving me insane;
It's beating constantly.

They're looking up at me,
Just a thousand feet.
I'm balanced precariously
With no chance for retreat.

As I begin to sink
The wind is my savior.
Wiping at my lashes,
Gripping my last breath.
A force before she crashes.

The crowd surrenders.
I'm left standing in the street.
A life of foreseen benders.
Ends with my last defeat.

Odd One Out

Different is bad
Everyone should be the same
They say you're imperfect
If you cant fit into their frame.
They say if you step outside the boundaries they've made,
You are allowed nothing but shame.
Look at this stellar hell you've come to create.
Good luck living through your karma studded fate.
This world is filled with nothing but hate.

Sad Robots

Just comply with life,
Because we're all too afraid to object where it counts.
We fear rejection and judgement.
We fear fear itself.
We live inside our little boxes,
Most of us are sealed tightly inside,
And though we each have knives
to let ourselves outside,
Nobody dares defy the constraint of our daily lives.
It seems that those who dare stand out,
Are always pushed aside.

Area Code

He'll say "don't forget"
Close my eyes and engrave the moment in my mind.
"don't forget the way this feels"
Contained in my memory forever,
Those moments of quiet bliss.
"always remember this"
Don't worry,
His image permanent.

Stuck in moments missed.
Residing in a lonesome state.
Left behind for now,
To be continued at a later date.

That next kiss,
The moments behind;
They resonate in my mind.
Quickly blurring,
Frayed becomes the line.
The last kiss;
But a memory in the lively black abyss.

Though I know nothing,
I'm seeing just as much.
A whole world moving aside me,
But in my mind I'm stuck.

Glancing out a dirty window,
Curious if you'll do the same.
Though you're saying sorry,
You're not the one to blame.
